About our sun

The sun is the source of all life on Earth. The sun lies at the center of our solar system. The sun holds 99.8 percent of the solar system's mass. The sun is roughly 109 times the diameter of the Earth  about one million Earths could fit inside the sun. The suns mass is about 330,000 times that of Earth . The sun is the biggest in our solar system. It is by far the most important source of energy for life on Earth. Without sun there will be no life on Earth. The sun is roughly middle aged. About three quarters of the Sun's mass consists of hydrogen 73% the rest is  helium 25% with much smaller quantities of heavier elements, including oxygen, carbon, neon and iron.
