The Moon

The Moon is the only  Natural satellite of Earth. It does not have its own light. Moon is the fifth largest natural satellite on our solar system. The Moon is an astronomical body that orbits planet Earth. The Moon is thought to have formed about 4.51 billion years ago. The Moon is after the sun as the second-brightest regularly visible celestial object in Earth's sky. Its surface is actually dark. Its gravitational influence produces the ocean tides, body tides, and the slight lengthening of the day. The Moon was first reached in 1959 by an unmanned spacecraft of the Soviet Union's Luna program. the first manned orbital mission by Apollo 8 in 1968. The first man who stepped in the Moon is Neil Armstrong.
